The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner and PCC, Festus Akinbusoye, have announced their new paid Internship Programme for 18-22-year olds.
The scheme aims to provide an opportunity for young people to join the OPCC Internship Programme where they will gain experience and professional development. Interns will work on projects about safety and criminality issues that affect our younger communities. They will be paid above the national living wage whilst delivering positive outcomes for the people of Bedfordshire.
Mr Akinbusoye said “We want to empower our young people of Bedfordshire, this is an amazing opportunity to work alongside professionals and deliver real-life projects that will have a positive impact on our young communities”.
Each round of the programme will run for one month with a team of four interns. There will be three rounds of the programme with a team of four new interns in each round.
- Round 1: 01/09/2021 – 30/09/2021 (closing date 18th July 2021)
- Round 2: 01/11/2021 – 30/11/2021 (closing date – 12th September 2021)
- Round 3: 10/01/2022 – 04/02/2022 (closing date 31st October 2021)
The role will be based at Bridgebury House, adjacent to Bedfordshire Police Headquarters.
