Summary:
Festus Akinbusoye, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Bedfordshire, has confirmed that he will not submit or claim any expenses relating to his PCC role throughout the period of his parliamentary campaign commencing 15/06/2023.
The PCC has stated “I am very conscious of the political capital that some may seek to make if I claim for mileage, for example, to travel to an engagement that is part of my PCC role, but that I am seen talking to residents who may want to talk to me about my parliamentary candidacy”.
